the debate took place at the university of denver in colorado, it was moderated by jim lehrer from pbs and sponsored by mountain dew code red. they have sponsors. this is the first debate, it's key because if a candidate does well, they can sometimes go on to become president. so, you really want to have a good showing. the debate, i think, it's still happening right now as we tape the show. the candidates decided who would get to speak first tonight via a coin toss, which was confusing for mitt romney, they had to explain what a coin was. he had never seen one before.
